how to create shortcut for websites

If you are tired of typing long address of any website, then you must try this. You can create a shortcut for websites to. A shortcut of website works in similar fashion as the shortcut of any application does. You can open that website just by double clicking on that shortcut. To create shortcut follow these steps:-



  • Go to website of which you want to create a shortcut.

  • Drag icon beside url of website & drop it on desktop or any folder where you want to create a shortcut.

  • Now shortcut has been created.

  • Do right click on that shortcut.

  • Select properties.

  • Now go to ‘web documents’ tab.

  • Click on ‘shortcut key’ field.

  • Now press sequence of keys you want to set as shortcut key for that url. Eg. Ctrl+z etc.

  • By doing this whenever you will press same sequence of keys, that website will open immediately.


For Internet Explorer users:-

  • Click on blank spot on website.

  • Do right click.

  • Select create shortcut.

  • Done.
